Celebrate India Basin Waterfront Park and the Bayview-Hunters Point community at the Family Day Block Party on Saturday, September 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Hunters Point Boulevard between Innes and Hudson avenues. Enjoy live music and DJs, dance performances, live painting, a free photo booth, community art, local vendors and nonprofits, and BBQ from Surfside Liquor. The celebration is part of a weekend-long test of a slower, safer Innes Avenue and Hunters Point Boulevard, with temporary street changes in place Friday, September 18 through Sunday, September 20.
