The future basketball courts continue to take shape as crews form adjacent seat walls. Cofferdam installation is also underway to hold back the bay during future construction of the Marineway walls and gravel beach. Crews are continuing to form the concrete slab foundation for the boathouse and adjacent decks.
Crews have removed one of the soil surcharge stockpiles to make room for upcoming marine work while the playground stockpile remains in place. The two soil stockpiles are part of a surcharge program designed to reduce future ground settlement and help ensure the park's long-term stability.
All stockpiles will remain covered for dust control and compliance with city requirements. Once the surcharge program is complete and the ground has settled to an acceptable level, the soil will be used to fill the former PG&E pit
