Last month, the Historic Preservation Commission gave unanimous approval for the proposed rehabilitation of Shipwright's Cottage at 900 Innes Avenue, a part of the India Basin parks project. The cottage, built in 1875, is the oldest known residence in India Basin and was the centerpiece to the union shipbuilding industry. It is San Francisco landmark #250. We look forward to continuing our work to transform this historic building into a welcome, education and community center for the India Basin parks!
