Construction is underway on the new park at 900 Innes! The contractor has started with the in-water work and pile driving for the piers. The contractor team has requested permission from Rec & Park to work on Saturdays and Sundays and we have approved the request to ensure construction stays on schedule and complete the in-water work within the permitted window which closes on November 30. Construction will be permitted on weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through November 27.
We appreciate the community’s support on this once-in-a-generation environmental justice project which is a partnership between the Bayview-Hunters Point community, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, A. Philip Randolph Institute, San Francisco Parks Alliance, and Trust for Public Land. India Basin Shoreline Park is guided by an Equitable Development Plan (EDP), a first for San Francisco, with the goal of delivering a park designed by and for Bayview-Hunters Point.
